I have now forgiven Last.fm for selling out to an EVIL MEDIA CORPORATION and rejoined it.
If you are also on Last.fm, please make friends with me! You can find me (and my 'enigmatic' profile picture) here.
TOTALLY UNRELATED UPDATE: Congratulations to Nuttycow and Andrew Smith for both making it to the front page of the Guardian today - it's a small world!

Your wish = my command.
Hurrah!
Done and err.. done :)
Woo! Also, crikey Jonners, I haven't heard of a single one of the bands on your most-played list.
I'd been pondering joining last.fm for a while, and you've tipped me over the edge. :)
I've decided that the white hot cutting edge of the digital age and I are not meant for each other.
But Dave, you're being web 2.0 right now!
Welcome back to LastFM!
And for noticing my 4 seconds of Twitter-fame on front page of The Grauniad ;-)
Dave is *well* Web 2.0 - he has a virtual cricket team composed of bloggers from all over the world! How many of us can say that?
Andrew: I'm enjoying being back on last.fm and am pleased to see it doesn't seem to have 'gone all corporate' as I'd feared after the CBS sellout.
It seems to be offline now - have you broken it?
I agree with Nuttycow - updating Twitter, Flickr etc with 'PM has just met President' seems like ridiculously easy money.
Coinkydink? I do hope so ;)
I've added you on last.fm! In case it is not obvious, I'm hugeshark there... (it's a long story)
I set up Last.fm a long while back but didn't get the "scrobbling" business. Now I do, so maybe it will get slightly more interesting. I'm always the last one to the party..
Ah yes, I'd forgotten what as innovater I am.
Are you aware your Father now plays for us, P?
I'd sign the Kitten up now, if I were you, given that there is a waiting list, nearly as long as that to join the MCC.
Annie: Yes, typically I chose the weekend when last.fm is down for maintenance to make my conciliatory move. Also, I once tried to persuade a client of mine that they should open up a Twitter stream, as it would be the easiest, erm, 'communications mechanism' they could possibly dream of. Sadly they just looked at me as if I was suggesting something incredibly illicit and dangerous.
Valerie: Once you get over the terrible 'publicness' of the scrobbling (hm, now there's a phrase you wouldn't have heard ten years ago), it does make last.fm a much richer experience. Especially if you like stats, like I do.
Dave: I'm delighted to hear it. From what I remember, Dad is a ruthlessly efficient bowler. I, on the other hand, was rubbish at all aspects of the game except the eating of cucumber sandwiches.
Quicker than the human eye?
[Sigh] All these years I've been thinking it was Penry, the mild mannered janitor...
Was nothing on children's TV true?
Oh back on Last.fm...hurrah. I remember debating/trying to convince you not to leave many months ago.
What was it that changed your mind?
OPC: Blimey, all these years I thought it was Henry the mild-mannered janitor. The only truth in kids' TV is that the moon is inhabited by knitted mice.
James: I remember that you did, yes. I think I changed my mind because it occurred to me that I might be able to find new music there (obviously in direct contradiction to what I told you at the time!).
ah, LastFM, where i have four complete unknowns as my "friends"... i'm not sure i want real people to be able to see my most listened to - some of those tracks really are the musical equivalent of picking my nose and eating it.
also, i'm there under my real name, with a photo. my cover would be totally blown.
