*Ahem*

Or Reasons Why I Love Green Wing:

Surely not even Spinny can argue with that?

(thanks to smoo2 for the picture!)

OMG is that two dudes kissing, one of whom has long hair and a ponytail! holy shit that is so hot!

(when is this program on? i'd never heard of it until i read Spin's post.)

Very well observed, CB. Moreover, it is two *straight* men kissing, which I think you'll agree gives it that extra bit of edge.

Tonight, Channel 4, 11.05pm.

Obviously this isn't the *only* reason I like GW - there's the silliness and the fabulous characterisation and the wonderful performances by Britain's leading comic actors, and the surreal japery and the fantastic writing and the the early computing references and everything.

But still...

Eeek, I wasn't expecting that picture!

I do like Green Wing, however I do thing it is too long. Why can't it just be 1/2 hr. We could have more episodes that way.

Oh and that annoying speeding up thing. It's not Jam, for crying out load!

Sorry about that, Billy. Maybe I should have put some sort of warning up.

Yes, the speedy-uppy bits are terribly controversial. I like them a lot, but so many people hate them.

That was definitely one of the ultimate freeze-frame moments of that episode, along with Boyce's nurse get-up which was in a similar spirit to the Lyndon/Jake kiss.
I thought that whole episode was rather excellent actually, didnt you?

It's all excellent, Aimee. The best British sitcom* of all time that isn't Spaced.

Just saw the IT guy from Green Wing in the Royal Hunt of the Sun at the National Theatre, he had his shirt off and everything. He's a bottle of sauce.

I liked that bit very much. And I like the speedy-up and slow-down bits too.

This is about the tenth time I came here just to see that picture.
[Sigh.]
Well, I can finally watch the ep today, so many thanks for a relief.
