Brought to you by the law of diminishing returns:
2005: The cowboy hat.
Enough hats now. Next up: Music I Hate, which, conveniently enough, goes hand-in-hand with Albums I Forgot I Owned.
Possibly.

There's a picture of me wearing a cowboy hat, looking moody and standing in front of a bison at the Welsh Mountain Zoo. I was four, and have never worn one since.
Completely by the way, and because you might be interested, I've just seen a trailer on Channel Four which assured us that "New Green Wing Is Nearly Ready". However, music fans may also be aware of the expression "New My Bloody Valentine Album Is Nearly Ready".
Betty, you have much more sense than I do regarding the wearing of cowboy hats. I'll bet you haven't been anywhere near a glowstick recently, either.
And much as it has seemed to us diehard fans that the new series of Green Wing will arrive at about the same time as the new MBV album (not to mention the apocalypse), I'm reliably informed that it will in fact start on the 31st of this month. Hoo-bloody-rah!
Wot, no photo?
[Biretta photo definitely appearing Sundaym by the way.]
I have a pink, sequinned cowboy hat.
It is ONLY for Glastonbury.
(Anybody who went to my 30th party may have pics of me in a leopard-print plastic cowboy hat. I don't remember, so it doesn't count.)
I really fuckin' hate MBV - I thought they'd died of boredom from their own 'music'..
Do you mind if I use your "Hats I have worn"-title (slightly edited)?
I am nearly ready for hospital, because I know I won't see GW 2 for ages.
*going to die slowly and painfully here on my own*
Taiga, steal away, my dear. And come the hour, and all that, I'll see what I can do about getting some highly illicit GW DVDs to you.
Note to self - renew UK Nova subscription...
Thank you
* hyperventilating a bit *
There will be a Superlon poster in your sitting room, definitely.
I like the idea of having a special Glastonbury hat.
But I too am very disappointed by the lack of a cowboy hat pic.
If it was only last year, surely you still have it ferreted away somewhere...?
Why limit yourself to just the one, bella? Go on, have a crush on both of them. Maximise your TV viewing pleasure!
rumour has it that the Chinese Democracy, an album that has been in porduction for a record fourteen years, will be released this year. shortly followed by a small "pop" noise as axl rose finally disappears up his own arse, once and for all.
mind you, rumour also has it that the house we bought in november will be finished by the end of this month.
i don't believe that either will ever happen. pinning all my hopes on green wing...
- begin public service announcement -
Legend has it that the repeats of GW series 1 start on Monday 20th March at 11.05pm and continue all that week.
Also, the Series 1 DVD is out on Monday 3rd April.
- end public service announcement -
was wondering around on the net and found this, if you're sitll on hats... :)
Actually you are writing about two of the faded myths I have treated in my blog. Cowboys and hats! Have you read them?
By the way, what do you think about the Oscars?
Ah, bless you for the GW public service announcements. My Sky+ will be primed.
Oo, Nick Cave's on Radio 4! Erm, now.
Gah! Missed it! His film comes out tomorrow, though.
Oo look, it's after midnight. His film comes out today.
Yep, looking forward to it. I can use my free Cineworld ticket at last. I was beginning to think it would expire before they showed anything worth wandering over to the other side of town for.
The Cave interview should be on the BBC website, about 5-10 minutes into Front Row. As you'd expect, he was mostly talking about The Proposition.
I have never worn a cowboy hat.
I am, at this very moment, wearing brown cords and a JCPenny cowgirl shirt. I know, it's very six months ago in fashion terms. Very Brokeback. But it's comfy and was clean, so...
Music I Hate? Please say this includes Coldplay?
I just try to ignore Coldplay, Mags. Hatred would be an inappropriately strong emotion to muster up.
But in related claims to fame, when I was first going out with ex-Mr P, Coldplay lived in the squalid flat above his squalid flat in Camden. Now look at them. Tsk.
