Gilliam, It Was Really Nothing

Today I have mostly been writing about open standards-based application development and deployment environments, and I'm pretty sure you won't be wanting to hear about that.

nibus, on the other hand, has been hard at work making top comedy animations like this one:

And others, which you can view at your leisure here.

Right, that's it. I'm off to the River Café. I bid you good evening.

For some reason, I have imagined Nibus's protagonists as Gustav and Alma Mahler.

And the River Cafe. Hope you had a lovely time. Happy memories for me too, though still palpitation-inducing.

Haha, yes, cello - I thought of you while I was there. No sign of any fraise blond deities though, sadly.

Have I said too much?

I trust it wasn't an entirely sleb-free evening, though.

too hilarious! there have been times when i was sitting in the park with a work 'can i join you?' colleague hoping something like that would happen

it restores my faith in humanity to think there are people out there doing their damndest* to help make me laugh on days like today

Unfortunately so, Pash. But then I'm terrible at spotting famous people. I could have been sitting next to John Leslie, Kurt Cobain and Lizzie Bardsley for all I'd have noticed.

Why did you ignore me the other night?

Lizzie Bardsley at the River Cafe - there's a scary thought.

Strangely not similarly troubled by the thought of Kurt Cobain's presence there, however.

Patroclus, try ordering a meal backwards. A concept myself and a friend found funny to begin with, and even funnier after 2 bottles of wine.

We had a society at college that did that! Called RENNID. Once a year we'd start off in pyjamas drinking port and smoking cogars, then cheese, pudding, main course etc. Very VERY drunken and with many embarrassing stories afterwards. It's amazing how smashed you get if you drink booze in the "wrong" order...

merkin you are scaring me now

Is it the fact that he smokes cougars? Because that *is* quite hard. In all senses of the word.
