And Now On 'Postmodern Review'...

Yes, I know there hasn't been much writing lately; it's all the fault of the catalogue people with their bullet point machine, which has been taking up all my waking hours. Normal service will be resumed shortly.

Roland must be pronounced Ro-land.

As in "I will be your friend, Ro-land".

Didn't he invent moobs?

Ah memories.....maybe one day I'll get round to reading it. Have it in the original and English translation.

It does sum up the whole chanson rather neatly, though.

Remember 'Tyger, tyger, burning bright / how you save electric light'?

YOMANK!

(You Owe Me A New Keyboard - mine has coffee sprayed all over it).

Grange Hill memories come flooding back - Gripper Stebson, Carthorse Cartwright and all that. Plus Gary Love playing the oldest 15/16 year old I have ever clapped eyes on.

I wish I had a time machine. Then I would go back and visit myself during my finals, on the eve of my Medieval French paper. I would take a screen grab of this post and say: 'Behold! One day there will be a thing called a 'blog' and people you have never met will post things like this on it. So have no fear for the future.'

And my 1996 self would be mightily pleased and face the new millennium with optimism.

Next up: 'Gaffney and Celeste'.

(My brother is doing a sterling job of supplying me with amusing pictorial content, I must say).
