Tangotronicatastic

Scrap everything I said about not liking songs in languages I can't understand. That can't be true, otherwise I wouldn't be listening to this new Gotan Project album over and over again.

Top track is Mi Confesión, which sounds like Leftfield's Afro Left, only in Spanish and with a tango accordion on it. Brilliant, in other words.

Can't find that one online, though, so here's Tango Canción instead:

UPDATE: Found it now:

the lyrics:
mmmmrrrrromymmmmmmmmmmmnuuuuuuuuuu
ooooooooooonyyyyyyyoooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeoooooommmmm....
kind of like a bunch of very religious floor buffers going over the terrazzo.

Steady on there, FN, one tiny step into 'world' music at a time...

I'll have to play this to A tomorrow. He's now a great three-year-old fan of Motel de Moka and seems to like everything in Spanish.

is it as good as their first album?

GSE: I thought you'd be the person to know! I don't have their first album; I'd only heard them remixing Calexico before. You recommend it, then?

well, I absolutely love the first album so I'm scared this can't be as good (couldn't get the links to work)

Links still work OK for me - it should just download the mp3 in both cases. But you can also listen to the album - or bits of it, anyway - online at their website.
