Sad Light

Seen today on the Network Cornwall mailing list, which is proving to be a rich seam of unintentional comedy:

We have the answer to this SAD problem: we have a "SAD LIGHT" and the facility for you to sit by it for half an hour at a minimal cost of only £5.

UPDATE: Fortunately the 'facility' has an altogether different temperament:

Genius. Presumably, the facility to sit by it is otherwise known as a chair.

Argh. The whole thing is just awful. The social awkwardness involved in going round to a stranger's house to sit next to their SAD light (while they stand over you with a stopwatch????) is almost too much to bear.

Would I be able to have a SAD cup of tea whilst sitting by the sad light?

gawd, what with this and depressing music over on Mr BC's blog I'm beginning to feel the need for chocolate. And vodka...

*sobs*

Ha! Yep that chair would do it. It's positively gleeful.

Right. So now you have to pay to sit around looking at things in a sad light? As if the depressed haven't got enough problems...

Have you seen the piglet squid? He's even happier than the chair.

I don't think the piglet squid should be sat on, though - he looks like he might pop quite easily.
