Although some barons did live there once. Whether they were caught or not remains a mystery.

Mind you, this is only according to that fount of all accurate and true knowledge, the mighty Wikipedia. I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who might know about such things, because it's that kind of Sunday afternoon.patroclushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01933476561340044351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607123.post-1160922810319233222006-10-15T15:33:00.000+01:002006-10-15T15:33:00.000+01:00It's the 'court' that's spelt wrong. They were old ...It's the 'court' that's spelt wrong.

They were old headlines:-

Earl's Caught

Barons Caught

They only caught one earl but several barons.Geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00340519450159428760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607123.post-1160918221634143492006-10-15T14:17:00.000+01:002006-10-15T14:17:00.000+01:00And what was the Shepherd doing with the Bush? And what was the Shepherd doing with the Bush?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607123.post-1160914559495654372006-10-15T13:15:00.000+01:002006-10-15T13:15:00.000+01:00Kalista - why would the Earl own his court but the...Kalista - why would the Earl own his court but the Baron wouldn't own his court?
Am I missing something?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607123.post-1160910346235527272006-10-15T12:05:00.000+01:002006-10-15T12:05:00.000+01:00I don't know if it's still there now but in Bakewe...I don't know if it's still there now but in Bakewell (where the tarts come from) there was a sign for Sheffield with three f's in it. Whereas Barons is a name and therefore needs no possessive apostrophe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3607123.post-1160904796293385062006-10-15T10:33:00.000+01:002006-10-15T10:33:00.000+01:00Even odder, all other manifestations of the Earls ...Even odder, all other manifestations of the Earls Court brand identity (it's talk like a marketing fucknut day here in Bangkok) lack an apostrophe.
