Hmph

It's one of those days - utter disillusionment mixed with extreme self-loathing and the irrational urge to delete the whole blog and disappear off the face of the blogosphere. The only way out of this kind of mindset is to listen to some angry, whiny, early 80s acoustic post-punk numbers, then when that doesn't work, progress directly to thrash covers of Cure songs. I'll be on to Einstuerzende Neubauten by lunchtime. Hopefully that'll make everything alright.

Well, if Neubaten don't do the trick, nothing will... possibly not the most encouraging words you could hope to hear.

I don't understand how it all went so wrong. The weekend wasn't that long ago.

See, this is the problem. Have an exciting weekend and you come crashing down to reality within a couple of days. Have a fairly tedious and uneventful life and you noodle along happily - I should know.

A few hours of Napalm Death should kick out the cobwebs, anyway.

Hey, you look good - so why care if you are falling head-first into the Pit of Despair?

I suggest Headcleaner. That'll fix it. No really.

Thanks everyone - I am in an Insanely Good Mood again now. And I didn't even have to listen to any Napalm Death. Wheee!

did i hear somewhere that johnny depp is to leave vanessa paradis and move to west london in search of a nice english wife?

(ok, perhaps not - just trying to cheer you up without the aid of post-punk stuff)

Heh heh, thanks UC. I actually had Johnny Depp's London pied-a-terre pointed out to me the other night. Which was probably a grave mistake on the part of the pointer-outer. I'll be setting up camp outside just as soon as I get my Cath Kidston tent and flowery Boden wellies.

And this morning I awoke to find that someone (well, it's not much of a mystery who it was, seeing as the only other human in my flat is the electro-punk rock chick, and the cat isn't that manually dextrous) had left a fetching picture of Johnny in full Libertine regalia on my laptop. Hmmm.

After listening to Einstuerzende Neubauten, I always want to listen to Bach. Must be a German thing.
